A correction to “British MI6 agents named in Balkans”

29 October 2004

Use this version to print | Send this link by email | Email the author

The World Socialist Web Site article “British MI6 agents named in Balkans,” posted October 27, writes of a “list of 116 alleged MI6 agents revealed by former MI6 agent Richard Tomlinson in 1999.”

It has been brought to our attention that Richard Tomlinson denies any responsibility for the publication of the list and has charged that the allegation is part of a smear campaign conducted against him by British intelligence.

The WSWS article erred in presenting a contested allegation as fact. We have amended the article accordingly and apologise to Mr. Tomlinson for the error in the article as originally posted.
