In another video broadcast by the Socialist Equality Party, Terry Cook, the SEP’s candidate for the large working class seat of Charlton in the New South Wales Hunter Valley region, outlines the challenge he has issued to his Labor opponent Greg Combet, former Australian Council of Trade Unions secretary, for a debate on Labor’s industrial relations policies.

Combet’s refusal to debate Cook is because Labor’s industrial relations package, “Forward With Fairness”, is, in all essential features, identical to the Howard government’s hated WorkChoices legislation.
