Reader comments on The Boys

10 June 1998

To the Editor:

How about the bullying of the audience by the makers of this film? You are being pushed and shoved throughout. It's got nothing to say, but it says it in an aggressive, attacking way. In the end the audience is relieved to get out of the cinema without having to witness another violent rape scene. This method is used so often in films now to merely shock the audience.
