Australia: SEP candidate to speak at Victorian election meetings

The Socialist Equality Party (Australia) will be holding a “meet the candidate” evening and a public meeting in Melbourne, as part of its campaign for the Victorian state election on November 25. The SEP election statement, “A socialist alternative in the Victorian state election”, was issued on November 1.

Will Marshall is representing the SEP in the working class electorate of Broadmeadows. Marshall, 43, has been a member of the SEP and its predecessor, the Socialist Labour League, since 1987. He currently teaches at Footscray City Secondary College, and previously taught at Broadmeadows Technical School for five years. Marshall is a regular contributor to the World Socialist Web Site. He stood as an SEP candidate for the Victorian Senate in the 1998 federal elections.

Supporters of the SEP and readers of the World Socialist Web Site are warmly invited to attend both election meetings.
