This recording was prepared as testimony to the initial fact-finding hearing held by the Citizens Inquiry into the Dexter Avenue Fire on Saturday, March 20 at Wayne State University. Sister Mary Ellen Howard, Executive Director of the Detroit's Cabrini Clinic, was unable to attend, but granted the WSWS this interview for presentation as evidence.
