Video: Australian steel workers face deep job cuts

Steel workers and local residents in Wollongong and Port Kembla on the New South Wales south coast spoke with the World Socialist Web Site this week about BlueScope Steel’s decision to shut down its export division and axe up to 1,400 workers’ jobs. The decision is part of a wave of job cuts now sweeping through the Australian manufacturing industry with an estimated 100,000 workers set to lose their jobs in the next few months.
