Video: Australian steel and maritime workers denounce BlueScope job cuts

Workers in Port Kembla on the New South Wales south coast spoke with World Socialist Web Site reporters about the planned destruction of BlueScope jobs. The company, with the active support of the unions which are locked in redundancy negotiations with management, plans to shut its export division and destroy 1,100 jobs at its Port Kembla plant and 300 from its hot-strip rolling mill in Hastings in the state of Victoria. An estimated 200 waterfront jobs will also be axed.
