Video: Flint residents protest paying for poisoned water

On Monday, residents of Flint, Michigan staged a demonstration in front of City Hall in protest of both exorbitant water rates and the continuation of utility shutoffs. After almost two years with poisoned tap water, thousands of residents face the shutoff of their water.

Thousands of city residents have been exposed to toxic levels of lead in their drinking water, and tainted water is associated with the deaths of at least 10 people. Residents must rely on bottled water for drinking, cooking and personal hygiene; yet the water rates are among the highest in the country.
