The World Socialist Web Site is marking its 15th anniversary of daily publication. As part of this campaign, we are calling on all our readers to financially support the WSWS to lay the foundation for an immense expansion of its content and influence.

Over the past 15 years, the World Socialist Web Site has established an extraordinary record. There is no other publication like it. At a time when so many “left” and liberal publications have made their peace with the political establishment, the WSWS has refused to compromise its principles.

In response to every major development, the WSWS has sought not only to record what happened, but to reveal the truth of what happened. Our daily coverage of political, economic and cultural developments has won the site a devoted international readership. With 40,000 to 50,000 individual readers a day, the WSWS is the most widely read socialist publication on the Internet.

The most basic democratic rights are being abrogated. Most importantly, there is a growth of working class struggle all over the world.

These events place ever greater demands on the web site, to which we must respond. After all, the task of the WSWS is not simply to analyze, but to inform, educate and provide a revolutionary perspective to guide the struggles of the working class. The site must become the voice of the international working class and the organizing center for revolutionary movements all around the world.
