WSWS :

How to find your way around the WSWS

We welcome any comments, technical suggestions or criticisms that may assist in the further refinement of the site.

All articles are organised according to certain categories and topics. For example, News & Analysis is now divided into seven regional categories -- North America, Asia, Africa, Australia and South Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, South & Central America, as well as topical categories -- Science & Technology, Medicine & Health, World Economy, Sport and Obituaries.

Below these major headings are a selection of topics you can select.

Selecting any category will bring up more featured listings enabling you to see at a glance the topics covered on the site.

A vertical navigation bar appears on each page giving access to the main departments of the site, News & Analysis, Arts Review etc.

In addition, each page has a horizontal navigation bar which shows you where you are in the site and provides links to related coverage:

e.g.,

WSWS : News & Analysis : Europe

The example above tells readers that they are in the European section of News & Analysis. To get back to News & Analysis just select the link. Or to go to the WSWS Home Page click WSWS.

Readers coming to an individual article from a search engine can immediately see a selection of new material available on the site through the Highlights section of the left hand navigation bar which is updated regularly and appears on every page throughout the site.

The Archive section lists all articles by date.

An important consideration in the site design is to avoid using special programming languages and ensure the WSWS is broadly accessible to readers around the world with widely differing computer capacities.
