Netscape highlights World Socialist Web Site

The World Socialist Web Site was among ten new and notable web sites selected by the popular Internet browser Netscape on March 19. Netscape users (there are an estimated 21 million in the United States) who clicked on the “What’s New” button on their tool bar or in their directory menu would have seen the WSWS listed along with an explanation that it “provides an analysis of major world events from the heritage of the socialist movement.”

The WSWS was chosen by the search engine company Yahoo!, whose employees “surf” the Internet each day for interesting new web sites.
