Japanese pilots union cancels strike

A strike by All Nippon Airways pilots planned from June 23 has been called off by the union to allow further negotiations. The ANA pilots threatened to resume a selective strike on international flights on June 23 following the introduction of the company's new wage system.

Management aims to introduce a performance-based pay scheme. The strike was expected to cause the cancellation of six flights, affecting 1,210 passengers.
