On “Ashcroft, Mueller press conference: sowing panic to prepare a provocation”
Attorney General Ashcroft announced the arrest of a British Muslim, Hamza, for “terrorist activities.” One of the alarming charges is that he attempted to establish a terrorist training base in Oregon, and was stockpiling weapons and ammunition there, going back as far as 1999.
He didn’t say anything about the fact that there have been, for a much longer period, terrorist training camps, and stockpiling of weapons and ammunition, in Oregon, by a broad range of racists, anti-Semites, white supremacists, armed gangs illegally calling themselves “militia,” neo-Nazis, and other assorted Reich Whine fringe nut-balls, dirt-balls, and lead-poisoned gun-freaks—gangs of thugs which praised the OK City bombing of April 19, 1995.
But he needn’t say anything about them, because they pose no threat. Many profess to be “Christian,” with the goal of “restoring” the US to being a “Christian” nation—a view Ashcroft himself shares and endeavors to advance and establish.
Nor did he mention that there have been terrorist training camps for over 40 years in Florida, which stockpile weapons and ammunition, and engage in attacks against Cuba, and bombings and killings within the US.
But he needn’t say or do anything about them: they are an important political base again being solicited for votes by George Bush and his brother Jeb.

* * *On “More ‘Washington whispers’ about possible pre-election terrorist attack”
To the Editors:
Thank you for your article about “Washington Whispers.” If critics say you are paranoid, tell them to look at the 1993 Project for A New American Century written by the current war chiefs when they were upset about Daddy Bush losing the election, search for “Pearl Harbor” and they’ll find a phrase that says all the plans in the document for reorganizing the military and its strategies/weaponry for the Middle East (particularly Iraq) will take a long time to achieve, barring a new Pearl Harbor to galvanize Americans.
There is also an email sent by In the Wilderness, a web site run by a former Ross Perot campaign manager (not sure if that adds or detracts credibility), that shortly after 9/11 listed many major European newspaper articles in the spring and early summer of 2001 citing bin Laden meeting with US intelligence officers at hospitals in Europe, etc.
I can’t help wondering if our intelligence officials thought a little knick off a NYC building would neutralize New York liberals and galvanize the rest of the country to support military change and proactive strategies in the Middle East ... and they just didn’t know that [Osama bil Laden] and crews would expand the idea or that the entire WTC would collapse.
I worked daily in World Trade One on the 101-105 floors for a year until February 2001, know hundreds of the dead, would be among them myself if my project had not ended, and hate to see their deaths used as an excuse to turn “democracy” into a war cry.

I can’t believe this was written two years and four months ago! How is it possible that this is only now coming to my attention?
I wrote a letter to the 9/11 family members’ web site (http://www.familiesofseptember11.org/home.asp) pointing them to the above link. I also pointed them to a truly horrendous story in http://www.rense.com/general28/ioff.htm. These two links are getting damned close to representing “smoking gun” evidence of monstrous corruption at the highest levels of our government.
Here’s a copy of the letter I wrote:

Written over two years ago in January 2002, this remains the best summary of the run-up to September 11 that I have yet seen. The security lapses that preceded that horrendous day are simply too blatant to believe our government was just “asleep at the wheel.” I firmly believe that our government not only knew specifics of what was going to happen, but may very well have been deeply involved in the planning and funding of the whole terrorist operation. Their reason? To justify a phony “war on terrorism” in Iraq and Afghanistan. This war is just a smokescreen to hide their real intentions: to seize control of Iraqi oil and build oil pipelines across Afghanistan connecting the oil-rich Caspian Sea and Central Asia with the Indian Ocean. The $1 trillion opium market now flourishing in Afghanistan is a fantastic side-benefit to their organized-crime buddies, just as it will keep millions of inner-city youth either in jail or too doped up to become productive members of society. This plays into their agenda perfectly.

The point of the second link is that there is strong evidence that a powerful explosion, quite possibly caused by a small NUCLEAR DEVICE planted in the basements of the Twin Towers and WTC7 was the ultimate cause of their collapse. We may never know the whole truth—the entire structural remains of Trade Center towers was hastily shipped off to China and India for recycling, well before any real inspection could begin. The administration had strong motives to destroy the WTC—the Securities & Exchange Commission rented large amounts of office space there, and was in the midst of launching investigations against Enron, Worldcom, and a host of other fraudulent corporations who just happened to also be huge contributors to Republican political campaigns.
All Americans should be deeply ashamed and outraged by the ruthlessness of most officials in the Bush Administration. They will do anything to bend and hide the truth. They will stop at nothing, even the murder of thousands of innocent Americans doesn’t faze them, to achieve their hideous objectives. It should be the goal of every American to remove these scumbags from office and PUNISH THEM TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT OF THE LAW! This should be done NOW—we can’t afford to wait until November! The longer we let the REAL terrorists remain in power, the longer our country will remain vulnerable to further phony CIA-inspired attacks. To mention nothing of genuine attacks by Muslims enraged by our obscene treatment of Iraqi prisoners—all sanctioned and approved at the highest levels of our government!
As the surviving family members of the victims of 9/11, your words carry a lot of weight. Please contact your Senators and Congressional representatives and let them know in no uncertain terms that if full impeachment proceedings against President Bush and his whole administration are not started IMMEDIATELY, that you will use your collective voices to expose all the Bush administration’s lies and criminal acts in a public forum like nationwide TV. Any congressman who tries to stonewall on this will be subject to an immediate recall movement. They won’t be able to shut you up, as long as you also contact the editors of major newspapers. You should also make arrangements with a major author to tell your own side of the story in book form.
Time is wasting. The time to act is NOW!

* * *Finally someone has stood up and said that our government organized and executed the attacks of 9/11. Who else benefited? Certainly Al Qaeda did not benefit from 9/11. They benefit from our attacking them. When we do, our attacks unify them as 9/11 unified us. Political and military action is impossible without unity in the community and being attacked accomplishes that purpose.
