The Socialist Equality Party’s candidate for US Senate from New York, Bill Van Auken, will speak on “The socialist alternative in the 2006 election” at a public meeting in New York City on Sunday, November 5. Van Auken is opposing Democratic Senator Hillary Clinton, and will discuss the fight to build an alternative to the two big-business parties and their policies of war, attacks on democratic rights and support for the corporate assault on jobs and living standards.
