Video: American Axle Strike in Danger

4 April 2008

After five weeks on strike, workers at American Axle and Manufacturing are facing the danger of a sellout organized by the United Auto Workers International Union. The International Union has called a meeting with local officials for this weekend to review financial information released by the company. This will be used to justify imposing wage cuts and other concessions on the workers at plants in Detroit, Michigan, Tonawanda, New York and Cheektowaga, New York. The WSWS is calling on workers to elect committees of trusted rank-and-file workers to mobilize workers throughout the industry against this betrayal.
