ISSE meetings in Australia

Marxism and the world economic crisis

The year 2009 has opened with an unprecedented economic, social and political crisis caused by the breakdown of the global capitalist system. All the scourges of the twentieth century are once again erupting—mass unemployment, poverty, repression, nationalism and inter-imperialist war—in ever more destructive forms.

The following meetings being convened by the International Students for Social Equality at campuses in Sydney, Melbourne and Newcastle will advance a Marxist explanation for the present crisis and a socialist and internationalist solution for the international working class.

All students and young people are welcome.
