Video: SEP candidate addresses Oxford Union

David O’Sullivan, Socialist Equality Party candidate in Oxford East, participated in a general election hustings at the Oxford Union on Monday, April 26.

The Oxford Union is the prestigious debating society, whose membership is drawn largely from the University of Oxford. It has acquired a world-wide reputation for attracting guest speakers such as Winston Churchill, Ronald Reagan and Malcolm X, as well as Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.

Past officers of the Oxford Union include such pillars of the British political establishment as William Gladstone, Herbert Asquith, Tony Benn and Edward Heath.
