A letter from the mother of homeless Michigan man killed by police

The World Socialist Web Site received the following letter from the mother of Milton Hall, a homeless Saginaw resident who was killed by police July 1. The 49-year-old Hall, who was struggling with mental illness and disability, was shot at 46 times in a busy shopping center for allegedly brandishing a knife. He had been accused of stealing a cup of coffee.

A Socialist Equality Party campaign team spoke to residents at the scene of the killing and published a report written by Naomi Spencer.
