Video: SEP holds press conference to announce Workers Inquiry
6 December 2013
In response to a federal bankruptcy court ruling to authorize the bankruptcy of Detroit and allow the stripping of pensions, the Socialist Equality Party is campaigning to expose the social and political background behind the bankruptcy and mobilize opposition throughout the region.
A press conference was held on Thursday, December 5, to publicize the campaign for a Workers Inquiry into the Attack on the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Bankruptcy of Detroit.
SEP Assistant National Secretary Lawrence Porter outlined the basis for the inquiry in front of the DIA in midtown Detroit. The SEP is making an appeal to workers, students and professionals to actively support the campaign.
