Video: SEP Electoral Members call on supporters to fight Australia’s anti-democratic electoral laws

In this video, SEP electoral members condemn new electoral legislation rushed through the Australian parliament on August 26 and call on supporters to join the campaign to defeat it. The laws impact on 36 political parties, including the SEP, which do not have seats in parliament, forcing them to submit a list of 1,500 members or face deregistration, meaning they cannot run under their own names in federal elections.

The electoral members link the new legislation to the COVID-19 pandemic, denounce the Labor Party and the Liberal-National coalition government, who have put profits before lives. They point out that the SEP is only party fighting for eradication of the coronavirus and against militarism and war and call on viewers to become SEP electoral members today.
