Parti de l'égalité socialiste holds first public meeting on May Day in Paris

On May 1, the Parti de l'égalité socialiste (PES), the French section of the International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI), held a meeting in Paris to commemorate May Day. The event, which was the first public meeting of the PES since its founding last year, attracted an audience of more than 60 workers and students.

Speakers representing the PES and the ICFI explained the significance of the call for an active boycott in the upcoming second round of the French presidential elections. After an intense political discussion, several attendees applied to join or support the PES. A fuller report on the meeting will appear on the WSWS tomorrow.
